ABOUT US

Advocates For Animal Rights (AFAR) is a 501c3 Companion Animal Rescue. AFAR has two locations: our first location is In the Beautiful State of Michigan, and our second location is in the Impressive State of Tennessee!

Our primary goal is to raise NO-KILL Companion Animal Sanctuary's at both sites, offering a safe haven to all homeless animals. They will have permanent, safe and loving place to live until a forever home for them is found. However, if a forever home is not readily available, the sanctuary will remain their home away from home until a forever home is found.

Revelant Petitions

Wikipedia defines A petitioner as: “A person who pleads with governmental institution for a legal remedy or a redress of grievances, through use of a petition”.

At AFAR, we come across many petitions that benefit animals and/or animal rights. Whether its to save wolves from being hunted/trapped or saving a BSL (Breed Specific Legislation), victim & family, we believe that’s its important to take action and to put our money where our mouth is’ We will be posting petitions as we find them for your consideration. Read them, consider them, and follow your heart.

Where there is unity there is always victory. (Publilius Syrus) (ThinkExist.com)

Why use a petition? Collecting names for a petition can harness a lot of people power. While individuals may not have the time to spend to craft a letter, many do have the one minute it takes to read then sign a petition. Collecting the names of lots of people who are interested in an issue can make policy makers aware of opinions on particular issues. They can be used to protest about current conditions or even to oppose the introduction of new laws.

If you find an animal petition and you’d like us to consider posting it here, please feel free to contact us anytime! Thank you for your consideration!
