Advocates For Animal Rights (AFAR) is a 501c3 Companion Animal Rescue. AFAR has two locations: our first location is In the Beautiful State of Michigan, and our second location is in the Impressive State of Tennessee!

Our primary goal is to raise NO-KILL Companion Animal Sanctuary's at both sites, offering a safe haven to all homeless animals. They will have permanent, safe and loving place to live until a forever home for them is found. However, if a forever home is not readily available, the sanctuary will remain their home away from home until a forever home is found.

We are Seeking a Home

We’re looking for a place to call our own!

Our plan is to build The AFAR NO-KILL Animal SanctuaryOur Sanctuary will be able house domestic animals who,  for no fault of their own, no longer have a home. These animals become homeless for a variety of reasons:

  •  Moving to follow a job, etc.
  • Becoming unemployed
  • People who have become homeless
  • The death of the animals caregiver
  •  Developing an allergy to an animal
  • Abandoned animals becoming strays
  • Surrendering an animal because children no longer care for them

And the list goes on. We’ll be different than an animal shelter or Humane Society because we’ll have the ability to accommodate animals for an extended period of time, and we will be able to accommodate ‘lifers’ (animals that are unable to place) too! AFAR will be able to offer animals a new home and a soft place to land. And, because we are a non-profit agency, we’re able offer Special Tax Benefits to YOU when you donate your land. This way you win, the animals win, and AFAR wins because we’ll have a new home!

So please consider a donation of land.  Acreage is welcomed. Please contact us for more information…

Help us find a happy happy home!
